When Does Kids For Christ (KFC) Meet?
KFC meets on Sunday evenings at 6:00 PM.
What is Kids For Christ?
Kids For Christ is a church-sponsored weekly program for boys and girls age three through grade 3. This Christ-centered program: integrates spiritual and personal development; provides basic biblical teaching; emphasizes evangelism and discipleship; and gives children opportunities to learn new skills, make friends, have fun, and develop Christian values that affect every area of their lives.
Why Do Children Need Kids For Christ?
Today's rapidly changing society can make children feel insecure. God uses family and friends to help them develop a sense of belonging, and Kids For Christ is a place to make friends. Kids For Christ also provides opportunities for boys and girls to: develop skills; experience successes and challenges; make choices based on biblical principles; and have fun.
What Is Kids For Christ's Purpose?
The mission of Kids For Christ is to serve God by working to achieve Southern Hills Church of Christ's vision of a growing, maturing, and involved family that worships and follows God, while impacting the community and the world through saving souls. We will accomplish this purpose by helping children and youth make Christ Lord in every aspect of life.
What Are Kids For Christ's Goals?
To enable children to enter into a personal relationship with Christ and to know his Word.
By presenting Christ as Savior and Lord, the Kids For Christ program gives children opportunities to experience a relationship with Christ, His body, and grow spiritually.
By training children to study Scripture and apply it to daily life, Kids For Christ prepares them to exercise Christian responsibility in their church, community, and world.
To enable children to form healthy relationships.
By teaching biblical purposes for the family and by recognizing sociological influences, this program helps children learn how to be contributing members in various family situations.
By teaching that God created people to be interdependent, the Kids For Christ program leads children to develop healthy relationships with both peers and adults.
To enable children to grow as whole persons.
By presenting biblical values and characteristics of persons made in God's image, Kids For Christ assists children in developing positive attitudes toward God, themselves, and others.
By providing opportunities to develop a variety of skills and abilities, Kids For Christ helps children experience achievement and grow physically, mentally, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.
To enable adults to understand children and help them develop.
Through its curriculum and supplementary materials, the Kids For Christ program teaches child development and Christian values.
Through involvement in the Kids For Christ ministry, adults are encouraged in their personal and spiritual growth.
